Vasaikars rarely get a chance to experience the popular food brands that exist in Mumbai and in outskirts, they usually have to travel a lot for just tasting the popular food items spread across the length and breadth of western and central railway line.
But Vasai Misal Mahotsav has brought popular misals to Vasai and Vasaikars are enjoying every bit of it. You go anytime and you will find a huge crowd lining up for tasting the best of the best.
Be it Mamledaar's famous spicy misal or Chulivarchi Misal, you will find it here. There are around 8-9 stalls of Misal Pav and around 3-4 stalls of other delicious food items which include piping hot modaks, dragon ice balls, and a stall dedicated to maharastrian delicacy called "Kharvas" and another one for Paan.
The entry fee is Rs. 10 per person and there are huge round tables (around 6 to 8 of them) placed inside in the center for people to grab a plate, sit and enjoy the yummy misal pavs. As far as the prices are concerned, it really is a steal deal. Across the stalls the Misal plate which includes Misal, 2 pavs, Kothimbir vadi/ Sprouts/Extra Tarri, Onions and Green chillies cost between Rs. 70 - 90. It is given that you will end up trying two to three varities at once. Don't miss the Solkadhi at Mauli stall, it's refreshing.
